welcome ladies and gentlemen!I decided to do something a little different since I saw the movie divergent. I have seen it many times but previously I watched it and I saw many similarities and differences in both the movie and the book Divergent by Veronica Roth. I would not recommend you watch the movie if you have not read the book yet. Even though the movie give some of the book away. It still leaves a lot of the parts in movie out. First I'm going to talk about the similarities between the two. First of all Tris is the first jumper both in the book and the movie. In the book and in the movie she leaves abnegation and chooses dauntless. Also in the book and the movie Christina makes that joke up about fours name. But in the movie she said like the number. Then says were one through three taken. And in the movie and book Christina is tris's first real friend. Also in the book and the movie Tris gets a three birds close to her heart that represents her family that she left behind. And the last thing that is similar so far is when Christina is hanging off the edge railing and she cries as spray hites her body. There are many differences between the book and the movie. In the movie four is the initiate leader not Eric who is also a dauntless leader. In the book Tori talks to Tris about her aptitude test results. But in the movie Tori doesn't talk to her until she gets a tattoo. In the movie Tris is the one who stands up to Eric when he pushes Christina over the railing and tells her to hold on by her hands for 5 minutes and he will forget her cowardice. But in the book Al stands up for Christina. Also in the book there flashbacks about what Tris dad would say to her. But in the movie the flashbacks are about her and her mom. In the movie everyone makes it to the dauntless compound. In the book some people don't make it that far and they become fractionless. In the beginning of the book Beatrice has a complete makeover by Christina. These are the similarities and differences so far in the book compared to the movie. I hope you had a great time reading this as much as I enjoyed writing about it. Bye!
