I am glad to see you have finally returned to read more of my Dauntless blog. I have finished the first book in the Divergent trilogy. And now I’m reading the second book. The second book is Insurgent by Veronica Roth. I am on Chapter nineteen in the book and so far the pace of the book is a bit slower than the first. But the author still makes it a page turning book that is hard for me to stop reading. Also, in the book the author goes more in depth about things like the simulation and about how it works better than she did before.
So far in the book Insurgent the whole faction system is in turmoil because of the Erudite leader Jeanine Matthews and the unloyal Dauntless are trying to kill all of the Divergents especially Tris and the people who helped her shut down the simulation. The simulation that was making the society of dauntless kill the Abnegation society. After Tris and all of them left the Dauntless society was split into two groups the loyal Dauntless who sided with tris,four-known as tobias eaton- and caleb. And the unloyal dauntless sided with Jeanine and Eric.
Many of my questions have been answered so far from reading this book. Like if Tobias and Tris have a relationship forming. What i found out is that they do. But they are starting to fight because Tris is not making the right choices at the right time. For example she went into a room full of armed unloyal dauntless without having a gun on herself. But I still have questions forming in my head when im reading this book. Like will they ever stop running and be safe? Because so far they have ran to amity, the factionless where the met Tobias’ mom, and now Candor. All because the leader of Erudite were trying to kill them. But there are more Divergents in the entire faction system so they are killing them one by one. And also they attacked Candor and throw cylinders of gas to see who would still be awake. And to tris surprise she found a guy in her initiate class named Uriah who was born into dauntless still awake. But his brother decided to join the erudite instead.  What i do not understand and probably never will is how you could be loyal to someone who killed innocent people. If i had to be loyal to one group of people I would chose to be loyal to Tris because she is actually trying to save innocent people.

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen. I have finally finished reading Divergent by Veronica Roth. Did you know Veronica Roth went to our Top Ten college Northwestern? When I found that out I was really amazed because I did not know that this college had a good writing program. And everyone I know is like I don't want to go there and they want to be a writer.
I have read this book five times now. And every time I read this I feel like I find out more about Beatrice Prior-later known as Tris- and her family more but really towards the end of the book. And I found a lot more about Abnegation. And I found out that some people she cares about are also Divergent just like her. I still can not believe that after reading this book that she saw both her parents die and she still had the strength to stop the simulation that made the Dauntless kill Abnegation. Just because Erudite wanted to run the faction system.
But by far this is my favorite movie and book. There are so many different things that happen in the book that were never shown in the movie. I recommend this book for anyone any age not just teens. And this book for me at least makes me want to stand up more for what I believe in. And I hope when you sit down and read through the first book in the Divergent Trilogy it will make you feel the same way I do.
Now I am reading the second book in the Divergent Trilogy. The second book in the series is Insurgent. The book starts on the train going to Amity headquarters. The amity faction believes in peace. They wear red and yellow clothing. On the way there Tris is in the train with two people she hates,four- known as Tobias- and her brother Caleb after her parents died.
I am really confused on this part. How is she not crying? I know if I saw my parents die I definitely would be shedding many tears and not care who is watching me. And also having to save and sit with people I hate I could never do. But saving them I know I could do. But I would give them mean look after they tried to do what they did.
I like how she trays to look past them trying to kill her and Tobias and focuses on what is really important. Which is safety since Erudite and Dauntless are probably going to hunt them down. Because they stopped the simulation. They only did it because of what tries said. She said every minute that they waste an Abnegation dies and another Dauntless soldier becomes a murder. I wonder what is going to happen next in the book Insurgent. Well I hope you enjoyed reading my blog.

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen! I am now half way done with book Divergent by Veronica Roth. In my earlier blogs I wondered if Tris and Four would become closer and more than just friends. What I have read so far in the book they are becoming closer and closer. Four flirts with Tris when she is in the chasm in the dauntless compound after she wins the capture the flag game at navy pier that night. As Tris and Four become closer and they talk more and more. Eric turns into a horrible person and a worse trainer. He makes Al stand in front of the target because he is scared of airborne knives. And if he flinches he will become faction-less. I don't like Eric because of this reason I feel like he likes to hurt people not help them.So Tris works up the courage to stand up for her friend Al knowing he stay in front of the target and not cry. She says anyone can stand in front of the target it doesn't prove anything. So she takes his place and stays there letting four throw knives at her. She has become stronger and she is no longer scared. I absolutely love this part because she speaks up to save a friend. Even though she is not supposed to but she does not care. This is another example of where she stands for something that she believed in. Some people don't do this every day but they let things happen in everyday lives. Veronica Roth makes the character Tris a role model for ever teen. She works hard to become dauntless and she never gives up. Her character is a good person and stands up for what she believes in. If you don't already work up the courage to stand up for something that you believe in or someone. Thank you so much for reading my blog. And I hope you have a nice day.

welcome ladies and gentlemen!I decided to do something a little different since I saw the movie divergent. I have seen it many times but previously I watched it and I saw many similarities and differences in both the movie and the book Divergent by Veronica Roth. I would not recommend you watch the movie if you have not read the book yet. Even though the movie give some of the book away. It still leaves a lot of the parts in movie out. First I'm going to talk about the similarities between the two. First of all Tris is the first jumper both in the book and the movie. In the book and in the movie she leaves abnegation and chooses dauntless. Also in the book and the movie Christina makes that joke up about fours name. But in the movie she said like the number. Then says were one through three taken. And in the movie and book Christina is tris's first real friend. Also in the book and the movie Tris gets a three birds close to her heart that represents her family that she left behind. And the last thing that is similar so far is when Christina is hanging off the edge railing and she cries as spray hites her body. There are many differences between the book and the movie. In the movie four is the initiate leader not Eric who is also a dauntless leader. In the book Tori talks to Tris about her aptitude test results. But in the movie Tori doesn't talk to her until she gets a tattoo. In the movie Tris is the one who stands up to Eric when he pushes Christina over the railing and tells her to hold on by her hands for 5 minutes and he will forget her cowardice. But in the book Al stands up for Christina. Also in the book there flashbacks about what Tris dad would say to her. But in the movie the flashbacks are about her and her mom. In the movie everyone makes it to the dauntless compound. In the book some people don't make it that far and they become fractionless. In the beginning of the book Beatrice has a complete makeover by Christina. These are the similarities and differences so far in the book compared to the movie. I hope you had a great time reading this as much as I enjoyed writing about it. Bye!

I am intrigued by the character Four. I wonder how he got that nickname
and from who? And if Tris and Four will ever become more than just friends? The author has created understanding of the initiates leader Four by making him tough but making him follow other people commands. Also by making him care about other people and making him brave. And he is nothing like the dauntless leader Eric who makes people scared. And he is like a threat to the initiates and Four. Four and Eric are completely different in that way and many other ways. The only common thing is that they are both members of Dauntless and they are leaders. And they both push initiates to their breaking points. Both physically and mentally. The moments that define Four is when he acted nice to Trish and her friend Christiana and stood up for them. And when he walked away when she was getting beat up by Molly. Cause he did not want to see her in pain. I am kind of like Four in some ways. I care about what happens to people and not just about myself. I am brave. Like if my friends do something and its not right I will confront them about it. Like Four did to Eric. That is what resonates with me. The way Four is not only brave but he is kind and he cares.

The pace of the book Divergent by Veronica Roth is a science fiction book and it is medium pace. It is not too fast and not to slow. So it make it the book interesting for anyone to read. I have enjoyed the beginning of the book so far.The plot of the story is written in the first thirty pages. From the very beginning Beatrice -the main character of the story- finds out something that she can not tell anyone else or she will be killed. She can not tell her family or friends. When I found that out it made me want to read and it got me so interested in the book even more and she if anyone finds out about her. And what will happen to her if anyone does find out about her? Will she die or stay alive when they do find out about her? In the next few pages she struggles to pick the right faction and the faction she belongs in. She picks to go to a different faction not the one she was born into becoming an initiate. Beatrice leaves her brother and her parents. I could never leave my family behind. And now I am going through the same thing as Beatrice kind of. Because now i have to chose whether i want to stay in the same state as my parents and go to school or leave this state and go to a different one. The author makes Beatrice very believable in that way. And in many other ways people can relate to her especially teenagers. To me this book already has meaning to it in the first few pages. The meaning i have taken from the book so far is to believe in yourself and do what is best for you not for everyone else because its your life. I came to that meaning because of they way she was acting and her parents were acting. She would think twice about helping someone when her parents would. She started to believe in herself during the choosing ceremony and leaving her parents and her brother. And even though her parents wanted her to stay with them. The best thing for her was to leave abnegation. She picked the faction she felt she belonged into depending on her traits and what she believed was the one for her. I feel like her mom kinda knew she was gonna pick a different faction because of the way she was acting like she said during the ceremony she would love her even if she picked a different faction and she did not seem at all worried when Beatrice picked a different faction.
